Wales has over 200 golf courses stretching across four regions, South East Wales, Gower Peninsula, Pembrokeshire and North Wales.
Wales is an all year round golfing destination, however they do get the odd drop of rain from time to time, but dont let this put you off as fast draining links and upland courses remain playable in all but the most severe of weather.
Sout East Wales is home to some fantastic golf courses but two of the most famous have to be The Celtic Manor Resort, hosting the Ryder Cup in 2010, wonderful luxury resort hotels and three great courses, and Marriott St Pierre Country Club who have hosted both Solheim and Curtis cups. The Vale Resort with its award winning spa and two championship courses is another favourite with our clients. Other courses that would add to any golfing tour are, Royal Porthcawl , Southerdown and Pyle & Kenfig Golf Clubs.
Gower Peninsula became the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has some very good courses with Ashburnham and Pennard and in particular Langland Bay Golf Club having breathtaking panoramic views.
Pembrokeshire is one the best coastal destinations in the world and the picturesque resort of Tenby is home to Tenby Golf Club, the oldest established natural links golf course in Wales. Other courses of note include, Newport Sands and St Davids City Golf Club.
North Wales, spectacular coastlines littered with castles remains and some fabulous coures that include, Royal St Davids , Aberdovey, Nefyn & District, Portmadog, Abersoch, Bull Bay and of course Conwy Golf Club an Open qualifying links course and will host the Curtis Cup women’s golf event in August 2021 .
