Oitavos Dunes


The Oitavos Dunes golf course is set in an area of great natural beauty among pine woods and sand dunes. Located alongside the shore, the sea is in view from most holes, and there are also fantastic views of the Sintra mountains, as well as Cabo da Roca, the most western point in Europe, which can be seen from the 9th, 10th, 11th and 14th holes.


The course architect, Arthur Hills. Hills has used the contours of the landscape, to create a unique layout that totally preserves the natural characteristic of the land. The sustainability of the flora and fauna peculiar to the region is paramount, and every effort is made to ensure that the natural habitat remains protected.
